On holiday. Return on the 6th November
My name is Peter Woodcock.
I was employed by Dyson in 2000 as a field service engineer covering the Cheshire and Staffordshire region.
In November 2020 Dyson ceased having repairs carried out at the customers home, so I was made redundant.
I now offer Dyson Airwrap and hairdryer owners in the UK independent repair and servicing.
I can fix the majority of issues that occur with Dyson Airwraps and hairdryers.
Common problems I can help with include:
Dyson Airwrap is constantly showing the white light (just above the filter cover)
Red light on your Airwrap.
Hairdryer and Airwrap motor replacement.
Airwrap not heating up (Heating element)
Hairdryer not turning on.
Powercords that are faulty or damaged.
Airwrap attachments that are loose or falling off.
(Latch for attachments worn or deformed)
If you live local to me in the Cheshire and Staffordshire region, I can visit to inspect/collect your Dyson Airwrap or hairdryer.
Service would be £35 plus cost of spares.
Customers from other areas of the United Kingdom
can post their Dyson Airwrap or Dyson hairdryer to me.
A service would be £35 plus cost of spare parts and the return postage.
Even if a major part such as a motor is required, the usual cost including 24 hour return postage would be under £90.
Postage cost for Royal Mail tracked 24 hour service under 2kg is about £6.
Special delivery next day before 1pm would be about £11.
If just the main body is posted in a small cardboard box the weight would usually be around 1kg.
(maximum dimensions of a small box with Royal Mail are 45cm*35cm*16cm)l

Postage information can be found here:
Royal Mail Send A Parcel Web Page
Buying the postage online beforehand will be cheaper
than the over the counter price in the Post Office.
For example, most Airwraps sent to me just need a service.
Assuming tracked 24 hour postage is used, the cost would be about £47:
£6 to send it to me.
£35 for the repair.
£6 for the return postage.
There are lots of fake Dyson hairdryers and Airwraps.
They have mainly been sold on internet marketplaces.
I cannot repair fake machines, as they have not been built to same safety standards that the genuine Dyson products have. I would not like to return you an unsafe product which is more prone to failure.
One quick way you can usually tell if a hairdryer or Airwrap is a fake, is to look at the three pin plug.
If there is a hole in the fuse holder, so you can see the rating of the fuse, then your machine is probably genuine.
If there is no hole in the fuse holder then your machine is probably a fake (unless you have had a repair and a replacement power-cord was fitted to your genuine product)
Picture below shows a fake on the left which has no hole in the fuse holder.
Genuine plug is on the right and has the 13Amp fuse visible.
